I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience at the hotel. The rooms, although they had a slight cigarette smell, were impressively clean and offered great value for the price. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly, making my stay enjoyable. Access to the freeway was convenient, and having parking right in front of my door added to the sense of safety I felt here. However, there was a strange smell in the room, possibly from extended closure, which was a bit off-putting.

The hotel had a few drawbacks, like the rooms being hot all night and located near the noisy parking lot, but overall it was clean and comfy. The service was subpar with unprofessional staff and lack of apologies for inconveniences. The location was convenient for our activities, although slight competition noise was a downside. Dining was a letdown with limited options, forcing us to eat out. Despite the flaws, the value for money was fair.

The hotel offered a conveniently located stay close to essential amenities and Texas State University, but my rest was disrupted by the room's poor condition and lack of darkness at night. The service was helpful but relocating in the middle of the night was inconvenient.
